Forget the November 9, who will make the Great 8?

At this month's CBG Affiliate weekend in Niagara, Canada, the GR88 team will be hosting the inaugral Great Eight Affiliate Poker Championship.

Eight lucky affiliates will be selected from events on the night and an online qualifying tournament to play the final table in the Niagara Hilton games room. Starting from 8:30pm, there will be drinks and fun as we select 4 players to become part of the Great 8 and compete for cash prizes and maybe become the GR88 Affiliate Poker Champion.

There will also be a cash bounty on the head of a GR88 representative that will make up the ninth member of the final table. (ineligible for prizes of course)

Affiliates attending the CBG Affiliate Weekend can qualify for the Great 8 in the following 3 ways.

1. By playing an online qualifying tournament in the GR88.com online poker room on Sunday August 22st at 15:00 server time (4pm EST due to daylight saving). The top 3 finishers will qualify for the Great 8 final table, and the winner will received $500 in their GR88 player account – which should cover their hotel room at the CBG weekend.



2. By signing up as an affiliate here at GR88affiliates.com and placing a GR88 Poker advertisement on your affiliate website between July 21 and August 21 2010. We will randomly draw an affiliate’s name to play the Great 8 final table in the week preceding the event.



3. By showing up on the night at 8:30pm and participating in one of the qualification events to be run by GR88 staff in the first hour of proceedings. Four affiliates will be chosen to play the Great 8 final table on the night. This qualification method will not be poker related and should be alot of fun.

To participate in qualifying options 1 or 2, simply email Kris@GR88.com with details of your GR88 player account or affiliate website where the GR88 advertisement is located. You will then be issued with an entry coupon or entered into the affiliate draw. Please only attempt to qualify for the Great 8 if you have registered to attend at the CBGAffiliateWeekend.com website.
